| TEAM SANYA TAKES HER MAIDEN SAIL
Mike Sanderson and his sailing team onboard 'TEAM SANYA' took their new race boat out for her first sail today. Conditions were near perfect - sunshine and a building breeze saw the guys leave the dock around 1245 and head up Hamble River towards the Solent.
Today was about taking things slowly, putting her through her first few paces and making sure everything worked and they achieved just that. The wind however, built pretty quickly and as soon as they got out of the river they were seeing 30 knots+.
Mike commented on the day's activities after they got back to shore: "We got out, we went sailing, we got back on the dock so job done. It was way too windy for a first sail but also quite cool fun to do 25 knots in Southampton Water. All in all very pleased and can't wait for tomorrow ! " |
