Exciting trip back from Ireland

A rough ride back from Ireland but a really successful trip

Team Sanya returned from Ireland on Tuesday reaching Hamble at 1200. The return trip home was 'fresh to frightening' as the saying goes, we saw wind speeds of 45 knots + and hit over 30 knots of boatspeed on many occasions - all a vital part of the training programme!

The trip to Dublin was a huge success and we were incredibly well looked after by our sponsors at Discover ireland, Bord Failte, Tourism Ireland and Let's Do It Global/Galway. For sure the stop-over in Galway is going to be incredible - roll on July 2012!

Now the boat is out of the water for a preparatory time before we leave the UK for good and head to Alicante, completing our 2,000 mile qualifier on the way.

With just over 50 days left to the race start, and our move to Alicante, things are definitely ramping up a notch and the countdown is on!
